Account

Create your Feldy account and company workspace to begin capturing jobsites, generating estimates, ordering measurement reports, and collaborating with your team. During signup, Feldy asks about your company and the trades you perform. Your answers help configure the features available inside your workspace.

Account and workspace

Your Feldy account is your individual login. It identifies you when you sign in and connects your activity to your user profile. Your workspace represents your company. It contains your:
  • Projects and customers
  • Photos and jobsite captures
  • Estimates and proposals
  • Measurement reports
  • Pricing catalog and templates
  • Company settings
  • Team members and permissions
When you create a new Feldy account, you will also create your company workspace. Other members of your team can join the same workspace through an invitation.

Step 1: Create your workspace

Open the Feldy signup page and enter your information. You will be asked for:
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Company name
  • Work email
  • Phone number
  • How you heard about Feldy
Use a work email address that you regularly access. Feldy uses this address for your account and important workspace communications. You can also choose whether to receive updates about new features and product improvements. Select Continue when your information is complete. Already have a Feldy account? Select Sign in instead of creating another workspace.

Step 2: Select your trades

Feldy asks which trades your company performs. Search for a trade or select one or more options from the list. Available selections may include:
  • Roofing
  • Exterior
  • General construction
  • Restoration and remodeling
  • Painting
  • Flooring
  • Cleaning
  • Landscaping
  • Other field-service trades
Select every trade that represents work your company actively performs.

Why your trade selection matters

Your trade selection does more than personalize the terminology in Feldy. It determines which specialized workflows and project features are available to your organization. All supported trades can use Feldy’s core platform for jobsite capture, project documentation, AI estimates, proposals, and project coordination. Certain trades also receive access to specialized measurement and scanning features.

Roofing organizations

Selecting Roofing gives your organization access to roofing-specific functionality, including the ability to:
  • Enable roofing features on a project
  • Capture information for roof work
  • Order roof measurement reports
  • Use roof measurements when building estimates
  • Access roofing-specific estimate and project workflows
Roofing organizations can choose between the complete Feldy platform and a measurement-only experience during signup.

Exterior organizations

Selecting Exterior gives your organization access to exterior-specific functionality for work such as siding, windows, doors, and gutters. Depending on the project and feature availability, exterior organizations can:
  • Enable exterior features on a project
  • Complete supported exterior capture workflows
  • Order exterior measurement reports
  • Use measurements to support estimating
  • Access exterior-specific project tools
Exterior organizations can also choose between the complete Feldy platform and measurement-only access.

Interior trades

Painting, flooring, remodeling, and other interior trades receive access to the core Feldy platform, including photos, walkthroughs, AI estimates, proposals, and project documentation. Coming soon: Feldy plans to provide interior 3D scanning workflows for supported interior trades. These scans will help teams capture rooms, understand interior spaces, and produce measurements for estimating. Interior 3D scans are not currently available.

Choose the trades accurately

Select trades based on the services your company actually provides. For example, select Roofing or Exterior when your company needs to order those measurement reports. Do not select a trade only to expose additional features that do not apply to your work. You may select multiple trades when your company provides multiple services.

Step 3: Choose how you want to use Feldy

The options displayed during signup depend on the trades you selected. Most organizations will use the complete Feldy Platform. Roofing and exterior organizations may also choose Feldy Measurement only.

Feldy Platform

Choose the complete Feldy Platform when you want to manage the workflow from jobsite capture through estimating and customer presentation. The platform includes capabilities such as:
  • Photo and video capture
  • Jobsite documentation
  • AI-generated estimates
  • AI job walkthroughs
  • Project and deal management
  • Estimate and proposal creation
  • Field and office synchronization
  • Measurement ordering for eligible trades
  • Pricing catalogs and estimate templates
  • Team collaboration
This is the recommended option for companies that want Feldy to support their broader estimating and sales workflow. Select Start free trial or the available signup button to continue.

Feldy Measurement only

Roofing and exterior organizations may select Feldy Measurement only when they only need to order measurement reports. The measurement-only option is intended for companies that want:
  • A simplified measurement ordering workflow
  • Roof or exterior measurement reports
  • Pay-per-report pricing
  • No full-platform subscription
Measurement-only users do not receive the complete Feldy project, estimating, proposal, and workflow experience. This option is only shown to eligible roofing and exterior organizations.

Which option should you choose?

Choose Feldy Platform when your team wants to capture jobsites, generate estimates, create proposals, manage projects, and order measurements from one system. Choose Feldy Measurement only when your roofing or exterior company only wants to order standalone measurement reports.

Complete your account setup

After choosing a plan, follow the remaining prompts to finish creating your account and workspace. Once setup is complete, Feldy will open your workspace. You can begin creating projects immediately or invite your team before starting.

Invite your team

Workspace administrators can invite additional users from the Feldy web application. To invite someone:
  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Users under the Company section.
  3. Select Invite New User in the upper-right corner.
  4. Enter the person’s email address.
  5. Choose the appropriate permission level.
  6. Send the invitation.
The invited user can use the invitation to create or connect their Feldy account and join your company workspace. Invite each person using their individual work email address. Team members should not share accounts.

Assign permission levels

A user’s role controls the level of access they have inside the workspace. Available roles include:

Admin

Use the Admin role for company owners and trusted administrators who need the highest level of workspace access. Admins may be responsible for areas such as:
  • Company settings
  • User management
  • Pricing configuration
  • Templates
  • Projects and estimates
  • Organization-wide workflows
Limit this role to people who need administrative control.

Manager

Use the Manager role for people who oversee projects, teams, estimates, or operational workflows but do not need complete administrative access. This may include:
  • Sales managers
  • Operations managers
  • Estimating managers
  • Project managers
  • Office managers

Team Member

Use the Team Member role for users who perform regular field, sales, estimating, or project work without managing the organization’s primary settings. This may include:
  • Field representatives
  • Estimators
  • Technicians
  • Inspectors
  • Sales representatives
  • Coordinators
Choose the lowest level of access that allows each person to complete their work.

Change a user’s role

Administrators can update permission levels at any time. To change a role:
  1. Go to Settings → Users.
  2. Find the user in the Active Users list.
  3. Open the dropdown in the Role column.
  4. Select the new role.
The user’s workspace access will reflect the updated role.

Remove a user

To remove someone’s access:
  1. Go to Settings → Users.
  2. Find the user.
  3. Select the delete icon on the right side of the row.
  4. Confirm that the user should be removed.
Removing a user prevents that person from continuing to access the workspace. Their previous project activity may remain associated with the projects they worked on.

Account setup checklist

Before moving on, confirm that you have:
  • Created your personal account
  • Created your company workspace
  • Selected the correct trades
  • Chosen Feldy Platform or Measurement only
  • Invited the necessary team members
  • Assigned an appropriate role to each user
Your workspace is now ready for its first project.
